Tiger top hill

Pokhara, another beautiful valley of Nepal with its two municipalities is full of greenery. The reason behind the beauty of Pokhara is that the surrounding hills are of average height and is favorable for the people to live on. Any person who enters into this valley instantly likes it.

The hills that have covered the Lekhnath valley have some features to see the landscapes of different sides. All sides look beautiful with a different perspective. The color fo green from light to dark gives a viewer with a different taste. The region is full of water of small and big lakes and rivers, canals, water springs and its fall are making it a hydro valley. We would be able to see either the lakes of rivers from any hills that we visit.

Another great feature of Pokhara valley has a good combination of the deep blue sky, the crystal clear mountains and the landscapes below with different species of trees. A visitor can get all the things in a peaceful environment with fresh air. The thing I am going to talk about is the world famous chain resort The tiger top is located at the top of Rakhi dada. A visitor can go to a short trek to Kalika dada from where all the seven lakes of this valley can be observed.
The resort is located at the top of the hill where there is a sparse settlement of village and full of trees below. We would be able to observe the urban Pokhara at a side and the pure village life on the other. The snow mountains can of course be observed. The place is surprising for the people who are living in the noisy and crowdy urban settlements.

Pokhara is such a place where all our five senses get the work at the same time. The swimming pool of the resort gives a different taste of swimming at such height which otherwise will be pleasing our eyes.
The resort can accommodate 35 people at a time in different blocks with all the basic facilities are provided. The indigenous jungle that is surrounded from below have different species of trees along with the different species of birds and animals which is totally depending on our luck. It gives the feeling of somewhere at the far away jungle .The first and last ray of the sunlight can be observed .Greenery has covered from all the places.

Though the price is world class, the service that it provides also is of world class. It would not be a big deal for the people who think they deserve such services in Nepal and want to escape from mechanized lifestyle and the urban crowd.

The sound of sweet silence greets the lucky visitor of Begnas, Pokhara. Nestled on the shore of Lake Begnas, the chalet-style lodge is tucked into a forest of Schima -Castonopsis, and ………….trees, peeking through foliage onto the lake’s changing emerald hues. Unobtrusive in its natural setting, Bagnas stands as a prime example ecotourism and sustainable travel.
Our journey to Begnas Lake starts from Kathmandu with half an hour flew to Pokhara. From Tal chock, took us on a five minutes straight road drive on the plain land of paddy field coloring with yellow to Lake Begnas. The final part of the journey was a 45-minute hike up the hillside on the ridge with along the semi deciduous trees between the transverse of two small lakes. The place bearing the hillsides and valleys along the green vegetations.
The host and manager Mr Parajuli is waiting to greet us along with all part of the friendly staff. Entering the lodge we embraced the warmth of the hearth fire and aromas of “homemade gourmet cuisine.” Chef …………presented a tray of pate, cheeses, meats and Pisco Sours before the savory (mistahnna bhojan) three-course luncheon.A truly exceptional Chef, some of …………..masterpieces include home-made pasta, chicken glazed delicately with a lemon-garlic sauce, flan with caramel, steak tender enough to cut with a fork, chocolate mousse and even pumpkin soup.
The place immediately stole the heart of the guests while overlooking at the bank of Begnas and Ecotourism and sustainability is a core tenet of the resort’s mission. We can enjoyed fresh vegetables from the organic farm and meats from the local people. Herbs and fruits were nourished in the greenhouse and composts of organic wastes added to the soil’s richness.

The native Machupes are skilled craftsmen and not only built the guest cabins, but also the one-of-a kind wooden chairs, table lamp covers, staircases, furniture, hot tub and even the gnarled wooden faucet covers that graced the cabins.
The resort overlooks most part of the lake along with the yellow paddy farm and the above all one can see world famous mountains at the upper level .The resort consists of a loft with a comfortable bed covered with a cozy down duvet (sirak). The view looks out to the mountains and organic farm, with a partial view of the lake. Wooden stairs and floors lead to sitting area and kitchenette. Electricity is on for a few hours in the morning and evening.The resort area provides different vegetables and berries and fruits along with coffee plants for juice and coffee drinks to the guests.
The guest house is a two-story cabin situated on the hill overlooking Lake Begnas. The total privacy, floor to ceiling windows, wraparound deck.It provides employment, training and a salary to the local people so that the money donot go out of the village ,a great contribution for the rural economy. The resort offers several activities for guests. We traveled on the well-traveled, woodsy path to different villages and we can hike, relaxed and visited with the staff and locals. The guide has several hikes to lakes, mountains and forests.
The tranquil beauty of the place combines respect for the environment, cultural heritage, and local economy. This, topped off with a caring, friendly staff, makes it a place that restores and sustains; a true model of ecotourism.
Travel Tips:
• Specific location: Begnas Lake resort is mere yards from the Pokhara, located on Eastern side of Lake Begnas in the Lake city of pokhara. It is on over 50 acres, part of which is the farming of different herbs ,shrubs and fruits. This area is a designated by its ecological and cultural diversity.
